Welcome to iASPP
Introduction
Abiotic stress seriously affects the growth and development of plants, especially agricultural production. To mitigate stress damage, plants have evolved defense mechanisms. For example, plants can directly defense against stress by regulating the accumulation of stress-tolerant proteins through signal transduction in cells. In recent years, molecular biology techniques, especially high-throughput omics, have been widely used to study molecular mechanisms of stress response, and a large quantity of protein expression data have been accumulated in public repositories.
Here, we developed an integrative database of quantitative abiotic stress-responsive proteins (ASRPs) in plants named iASPP. Currently, iASPP contains 19,371 expression events of 6,214 ASRPs identified by low-throughput experiments (ASRPs_LTE) and 5,023,272 quantitative expression events of 511,937 ASRPs identified by high-throughput experiments (ASRPs_HTE) from 1,452 scientific literature and 602 datasets, involving 270 plant species and 213 abiotic stresses.
